Hello and welcome to my rendition of the Spring-time feature! Not to worry – I won’t be assuming the position of all-knowing fashion-forecaster and predict that floral prints will be in this season (however, I do find my print jumpsuit to be a nod to this act). What I can offer on this official Spring day is some consolidation – if it hit you too fast, you’re not the only one!
I find that befitting to this city, seasons are slow in Cape Town. Summer drags on, eventually turning cold and similarly Spring’s warmer days do take some time to arrive. The good news for those of us who aren’t quite ready to say goodbye to the newly bought-barely-worn coats, or perhaps its the summer bodies that are no where to be found – fear not, if you live in the Mother city, you’ve still got time!
As much as I’d like this to be about the knee-high suede boots I bought this winter and only wore once, its not. It about the forgotten resolutions and the half-done goals we’ve set ourself. More than that its the things we fantasize about everyday, the things that occupy our minds in our unending longing for them. Somewhere in the midst of an outfit post, I want to tell you there is still time! As much as Spring is a natural time of new beginnings, allow it to inspire a fiery haste in you’re actions through addressing yourself plainly on the things you said you would do an haven’t – then do them (in your suede boots).
