I recently signed up to the Beauty Bulletin platform, South Africa’s largest online beauty community and club where members receive free products in exchanges for writing reviews on their personal experiences with said product.
I was also recently chosen as the newest Beauty Bulletin Review Recruit Influencer and as a result received an incredible Urban Decay package to put to the ultimate test! I have been tasked with trailing three fabulous Urban Decay beauty products and here’s the verdict:
Urban Decay: NAKED Iluminating Trio – R650
This highlighting palette simply oozes luxury. The three newly launched shaded of illuminated silk powders contain a microfine shimmer which further enhances the product’s glow factor! The palette consists of three tones, namely, “pyrite: a copper toned highlighter which could make for a really beautiful bronzer, a stunning champagne toned shimmery highlighter called “oasis” and finally a rose toned highlighter which makes for an absolutely beautiful blush – it’s called “twillight”. The palette also comes with a spectacular full mirror and a cool double sided brush that is perfect for applying the tones to the cheekbones and bridge of the nose. The packaging is also rather drool-worth and would certainly add the glamour-factor to any “casual Sunday morning flatlay”! #Instagrammable
Urban Decay: Liquid Moondust Eyeshadow in “recharged” – R320
This product comes in a range of metallic shades however, I receive the liquid moondust eyeshadow in the tone “recharged”, which is a strikingly beautiful pinky-purply metallic tone. The product is super pigmented – as glitter goes, and has a smooth application with the precision brush that allows for sharp lines or one can opt to smudge the product for a softer look.
Urban Decay: Razor SharpLiquid Eyeliner in “goldrush”
Now Urban decay is a brand known for it’s beautiful packaging, so perhaps I shouldn’t be as taken aback by this eyeliner as I am given the brand’s track record when it comes to looks! Inside the sparkle-laced gold box is the most beautiful liquid eyeliner I have yet to see. The product just oozes luxury in the gold and copper toned steel tube. The eyeliner itself is unbelievable pigmented – gold pigment that is, and the product’s name certainly rings true as the applicator brush is no less than “razor sharp”, which allows for super precise application.
Over all I am truly impressed with the quality of the products, from the high prigmentation to the long lasting nature of the eyeshadow and eyeliner; I found that these products really don’t budge unless there’s make-up remover involved. There is someing super luxurious about all these products while still being ultra edgy and cool and I believe it is this kind of brand identity that has made Urban Decay one of the trendiest make-up brands out there and one that certainly should be on all make-up-junkies’ wish list, it certainly was on mine! Thanks Beauty Bulletin! x
